Flip Flop

How many times I have changed my mind? It could be once a while, quite often, or rarely. It all depends on my mood and what type of topic.  I like to follow my instincts; however I should trust them more often.

I’m careful to make comments on any topics that can cause a misled unless they asked my opinion.  The reaction of some people is too personal and they’re so critical that I prefer not to get involved. There always two sides of the story.

I use to be an opinionated person and it will cause problems to the point my depression will take over. I will lose wonderful friends and they will think I was insensitive. At the time I didn’t care. I always thought if they were my friends, they will accept me the way I was. I was wrong. I should trust my instincts, when to shut off my mouth. Did I felt guilty after I learn the second part of the story? Yes I did, however I was late to fix my mistakes.  That’s a way to lose friends and people you love. It’s not worth it.

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through chemo, my life change. Through my journey of fighting this battle I met others who were going to the same treatment as me. I learn from them to live day at a time, to be careful how I spoke, and how to express myself.  I learn to stop being so opinionated, hurting my loves ones with an opinion that it didn’t concern me. During this period I watch how some of them will lose their battle and how others like me will have another chance to live.

Some of the issues from today’s news are delicate topics and I also watch how they’re reacting to the issues. It’s getting to the point where they can’t see or hear the true anymore. They don’t care who they destroy. There opinion is all what matters.

Life is an opportunity to create a wonderful place. To accomplish anything we want and to be happy. I’m not wasting it in getting upset for the bad choices of others and for things it doesn’t concern me- I no longer do that.

I have now learned to be cautious and to trust my own instincts. I don’t need to agree with everything that’s going on, however I will wait for the second side of the story.

I’m not going to let any negativity ruin my purpose in life. Everyone has the right to have their own opinion, just make sure to hear both sides and to create a good life for you and your love ones.

  1. The older I get, the less opinions I actually have. I think it’s because I’ve learned over the years that lots of the ones I had were misguided or just plain wrong, lol. I do really like that quote!
