SoCS~ “fall from the sky”

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “fall from the sky.” Write about anything that falls from the sky–real, imagined, or idiomatic. Have fun!

What kind of things can fall from the sky? Today a little bit of snow, it’s May and it looks winter doesn’t want go away. So, it flakes all morning turning into rain in the afternoon. I was disappointed, because I want to start my flower and my vegetable garden.

Thinking of what could fall from the sky. If I’m going to think like my grandkids, I would say candies all different kinds like chocolate kisses, gummies bear, marshmallows, and delicious cotton candy.

Can you imagine how much fun would be? All the smiles and the laughter coming from the kids and everyone who loves sweet. I would be the first one. Also, it can be messy, but then again, it would be a delicious mess.

However, in the real world and in so many countries other things are falling from the sky. They have wars and they’re fighting for freedom and justice. I see from the NEWS the sadness, tears, and people afraid of the injustice. It’s unspeakable and alarming.

I would prefer the dream of all kinds of sweets falling from the sky and to watch the smiles and hear the laughter instead of terrifying faces, sadness, and tears.

  1. Good morning. Thank you for reading and liking my recent post. I enjoyed reading some of your posts, particularly about the relative and lipstick. I just wear lipstick and moisturiser. My husband jokes that when I wear dark red lipstick I mean business or am on the war path! Angela

  2. I’m not envious you’re having snow in May — I’m all about the sunshine and spring by now. But I do love the idea of candies falling from the sky!!
