SoCS~ Great year!
Today ‘s prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “new/knew.’” Use one, use both, use them any way you like. Bonus points if you use both. Enjoy!
As I reflect on what I have accomplished during 2022 and the more I think about it, I have done very well.
If I knew that all it took was to make a few changes and stay focused on my goals. One of the many changes I made was to unplug social media, eliminated toxic friends, and take a break from blogging. I was pushing myself too hard to write, I did not feel inspired, and I felt overwhelmed.
I did a few vacation trips including a trip to Puerto Rico. I have knee replacement surgery in June and thank the surgery I must exercise, and I am doing very well. I have lost 20 pounds, I finished my reading challenge, start to listen to podcasts, and become more spiritual.
For the New Year 2023, I want to keep a balance between myself, work, and family. I want to get back to blogging at least twice a week. Keep any type of exercise and keep reading and journaling. I am planning a few trips to Arizona and one to New York. And a 40th wedding anniversary trip is still in the plans.
For 2023, I am thinking “big”. I am confident that this is my year to shine in all aspects.

SoCS & Just Jot January-2022 “Resolve”
I gave up on resolutions because year after year I’ve failed and quickly. I’ve decided for this year to switch my resolution into a word of the year. After weeks of thinking about which word would fit my needs, I decided on the word “FOCUS”. I need to apply focus to my life. I’ve been all over the place starting projects and not finishing them. I’ve been making excuses for not having time for anything and being lazy. Also, forgetting to take my meds or drink more water.
I want to prioritize my health, my mental wellness, and focus on my family and home. So, in the midst of all things, I’ll be tracking my commitments on my planner so I can stay focused on my challenge.
Wishing everyone in 2022, filled with love, laughter, and health.
Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas!
I was up early this morning; My husband and I cooked for the family. When the kids arrived and saw the presents under the tree they were smiling. We opened presents and everyone was happy. We had an amazing and blessing day!
We played games, watch The Polar Express and Santa Clause movies, and ate too much.
Everyone went home tired and happy. It’s time for us, to relax and watch more movies. My plans for tomorrow sleep at least until 10 am. Stay in my pajamas all day and relax.
May you have the spirit of Christmas, which is peace the gladness of Christmas, which is hope, and the heart of Christmas which is love.

SoCs~ “tree”
It has been a busy day decorating my house. No time for blogging or anything else. I’m not done yet, but it feels amazing having the lights. I hope by tomorrow I finish the girl’s room and I can rest for the rest of the week. And then it will be shopping.
Here is my Christmas tree 2021!
Boo…
I’m excited I love Halloween, the kids coming for candy and their lovely costumes. I got up early to fill up my Cauldron with candies. Also, fixing my outdoor decorations because has been windy. I hope we have nice weather like the past two days. I have been enjoying horror movies and watching with my granddaughter “Vampirina”
To everyone who loves Halloween enjoy the day and have fun. And like “Vampirina” loved to say “Have a spooktacular day and to all “batkins” have fun.
SoCS~ Inspire
Nothing inspires me the most it’s watching my neighbors decorating their homes for the holidays. This morning I begin to decorate for Halloween. I didn’t realize the number of buckets full of Fall and Halloween décor I have. What did I do? I call my little granddaughter who loves Halloween to come and help me out with decorations. She was excited.
We decorated the outdoors and a little bit in the living room. The rest of the afternoon we play with the witch hat. A few plastic spiders make us scream. I have so much fun with my little princess that time went too fast. She keeps trying to scare me by throwing spiders and bats on my feet. I promised her I will finish decorating by the time she comes on Monday.
All I need to be inspired was to spend a fun day with my little princess.
