SoCS~ Ask someone else (Coffee)

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “ask someone else.” Either ask someone for a prompt word or, if you can’t, turn on a TV or a radio and choose a word from the first sentence you hear. Enjoy!

I ask my husband for a prompt word and he didn’t know what to say except to ask me if I want coffee. I can’t live without my coffee so the word coffee it is. I drink plenty of coffee making two pots a day and I’m the only one who drink it. My husband drinks coffee only in the morning the rest of the pot it’s all mine. So, thinking of coffee during the summer I made a coffee bar with all my cups and different coffee’s brands. I’ve been decorating it for the different season.

After, having my cup of coffee my husband asks if I want to go out. I realized I’ve been in the house ever since Christmas Eve. I love being in my home and it’s time to get fresh air no matter how cold its outside. It’s been snowing ever since Christmas Eve and it’s below 10. I’m hibernating as my husband like to say. Maybe that’s why I keep drinking a lot of coffee. However, been at home it gives me the chance to read a few books. The one I’m reading is a cozy mystery from Joy Avon. I must take advantage of being on Christmas break since I’ll be going back to work on the 4th. It’s time for another cup of coffee.

#JusJoJan Daily Prompt January 9, 2018~Coffee

I’m a coffee drinker. I love coffee since my mother gave me my first sip from her cup. My father also was a coffee lover. If I let him, he would drink coffee all day. That’s one of the things I missed from my dad. I will come from work and he will be waiting to have coffee together. He will ask about my day and we will talk about the movie he was watching or his favorite Spanish soap. Nowadays when I come home it feels empty. My dad is not waiting to have coffee and to share my day. I just sit by myself with my cup of coffee waiting for my grandkids from school. My husband would come from work close to dinner time. When I’m having my coffee, it brings memories of my parents. It makes me feel relax and calm.

Empty

My girls had a sleepover last night and they had a lot of fun. They were watching movies, playing games, and eating every goody we have in the covers. I can hear them laughing and giggling and by 4am it was total silence. Finally I can sleep a little bit I’ve until 6:30 to start my day.

The coffee pot begins to brew at 6:30, the house is quiet and my hubby will be up by 6:45 to get ready for work. I take advantage of the silence and put a load of laundry, have a wake up shower and check my emails.  By the time my hubby leaves for work I’ve a load of clothes in the dryer and a second batch washing. I have my coffee made and I’m ready to begin writing. I’ve a few hours to myself before everyone starts to wake up.

Meanwhile I’m writing, I like to have my coffee with something sweet and with no surprise all the boxes are empty. Common, there is no Twinkies, no mini donuts, and no cookies. My garbage can is full of empty boxes.

For my benefit this is good news I’ve Type 2 Diabetes and I’ve to be careful, however my sweet tooth is cravings for sweet. It doesn’t help looking at those empty boxes.

The Golden Hour

Daily Prompt:  6:00AM: the best hour of the day, or too close to your 3:00AM bedtime?

I found out that the best time for my granddaughter to draw or write her stories is before going to bed. She says is when her imagination is “flowing out of her brain”. A bravo for her she’s only 10 and she knows the meaning of “flowing out of her brain”.
I’m an early morning person so the best time for me will be 6am when everyone still asleep also it’s when I feel energized. However, if I’m not tired before going to bed, I will say that will be the best golden hour. Again I will say when everyone is asleep. It’s the only way I can concentrate on reading and writing.

Two Right Feet

What are the things you need to do within 30 minutes of waking up to ensure your day gets off on the right foot? What happened the last time you didn’t do one of these things?

https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/two-right-feet/

I’m up early by 4:45am from Monday to Friday. The three main things that I do daily during the first 30 minutes are shower, coffee (I set up my coffee pot the night before), and turn the TV on the news (mostly CNN).

After my 30 minutes have passed, then I get dressed up. I will have my coffee and I will watch a few minutes the news and the weather. I will start breakfast for my dad about 5:45 (my husband gets his own) and then the finishing touches (hair, makeup, and a little bit of perfume). I will start my car at 6:00; have my coat, purse, and my two bottles of water all ready to go. By 6:15 my dad has his breakfast; I will say goodbye to him and a kiss to my husband. “Have a good day”, we both say. My husband will leave by 7:00.

If I can’t do this daily routine, I will get moody and my day will be ruined. Anyhow my day isn’t going to be ruined at all. I work less than 5 minutes from home.  I will make another pot of coffee, have a few laughs with my coworkers, and of course ready to start lunch for the school cafeteria.

Someone Else’s Island- Daily Post

We’ve all been asked what five objects we’d take with us to a desert island. Now it’s your best friend’s (or close relatives) turn to be stranded: what five objects would you send him/her off with?

http://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/someone-elses-island/

It’s all depends to whom I’m sending these objects so if this is for my husband these will be for him:

  1. Matches
  2. A blanket
  3. A fishing net
  4. Cold medicine or a safety kit
  5. Bugs spray

However, if this is my sister, then her items will be completely different, so I will send her;

  1. Her iPod
  2. A pillow
  3. A thermos with coffee
  4. Gums ( she keeps gum in every corner of her home, including her purse)
  5. Toilet paper ( I don’t think she would like to use the leaves)

You see, it all depends whom I will send these items and I hope if someone gets lost it will be in a beautiful island with a breathtaking resort.paradise
