I have mixed emotions today. Waking up with the news that Puerto Rico was struck by a 6.6 earthquake. My sister called at 5 am and I can hear the sirens. I felt impotence that I’m so far away and I can’t be there for my family. My husband called his parents and they were evacuated since they live close to the beach.
Two years ago, Puerto Rico suffered a Huracan Maria and for the past few days, my beautiful island has been shaking and last night the big shake with lots of homes ruins. As for now, my sister went back to her home, however, she’s afraid to go back. They didn’t have electricity all day until now.
As for my in-Laws, they can’t go back yet because their home is too close to the beach. I’m also afraid for my family and my friends. I’m keeping evryone in my prayers!
