Last year I made a few resolutions well, I like to call them goals. I’ve accomplish a few of them and the others, it looks like it wasn’t meant to be. I accomplish lowing my sugar levels, declutter half of my home, and reading 50 books of different genres. Yesterday, I went to Barnes and Nobles and bought my journal for 2017.
Here are my goals:
declutter my home before renovations
get new appliances- it’s time to upgrade
read up to 60 books- I’m concentrating on new authors
make a few changes in my blog
Renew my wardrobe- I already started to take my summer clothes to the goodwill
a new hairstyle and coloring
redecorate my bedroom
Also, I’ve to renew my TV guide subscription it would expire in February.

I’d make a list of goals I would love to accomplish this year; however been only February and is too soon to tell.
One goal of my list is to keep myself healthy; I still don’t get the flu where some of my coworkers already have it. I’m eating healthy, taking my MEDs for my depression, and my diabetes. As a result, I’m sleeping better and that’s a plus.
Another goal is to travel more often, it will happen soon. I’ve plane tickets to visit my daughter in Arizona during Easter vacation. My next trip is planned for June to visit my family in Puerto Rico.
I’ve challenge myself to read more and I’m excited about being four books ahead.
One of my goals I’m not doing so well is blogging every day like I want to. I work full time, take care of my dad, baby sitting my grandkids after school and by the time I sit down I’m tired and ready to go to bed. I’m glad am still taking my online class. I work on this during the weekends and it gives me the chance to keep writing.
I’m doing well so far with my goals; however to count my goals that I’ve accomplished I’ve to wait until December.
Today here in the USA we are celebrating Valentine’s Day. To everyone who celebrated this day Happy Valentine’s Day. I’m getting dinner ready; the wine is in the fridge at least my Moscatto. My hubby’s wine he likes it at room temperature. Meanwhile, we are resting and watching “The Walking Dead” marathon and counting the hours for tonight’s new episode.
Have a wonderful day!

Day 2: Sunday Family
The weekend went fast I’m already tired of been cleaning the house and doing laundry. My youngest son went back to College. He was here for the past four days and he left early. He is at 5 ½ hours from home and he has homework to do. Now, I will not see him until Thanksgiving.
My two older children they live here in town and I don’t see them frequently either. They have their jobs, their home, and kids to take care of.
I will love to have a Sunday Family where every week we will cook, sit at the table and discuss work. Also, spending some time together with them, but every time I suggested the idea they tell me is impossible. They always have something to do.
I just tell them why not? The Reagan’s family does it and they have busy lives. They are a family of cops and they always get together at the dinner table every Sunday. The point is it’s just a TV show “Blue Bloods” starring Tom Selleck and Donny Walhberg.
My oldest son looks at me and asked who the family is? Are they from your work?
No, they are TV characters from one of my favorite shows.
Oh, Mom please it’s just a TV show and it’s not real, he replied.
Yes, you’re right and I like to dream. We get together on special occasions or the holidays, but I would like more.
One day I will have my family Sunday, all my children together every week. Just have family time. I don’t need the entire day, I just need an hour. I think that’s enough.
Oh, I think I’m feeling the empty nest.
