Happy Thanksgiving

Today is one of the most important day of the year it’s the beginning of the holidays. The house is quiet and I’m already have the turkey in the oven. We will have thanksgiving lunch, since my daughter in law has to work. The Thanksgiving dinner reunion for the rest of the family will be tonight at my nephew’s home.

This was my dad’s favorite holiday and it’s been 12 days since he passed. I can’t stop crying when I look at his bedroom and today it will be a tough one. I don’t want the kids to notice I’m getting depressed all over again. They are expecting to see a few decorations and to listen to my Christmas songs.

I hope I can get the strength to at least have something done for them. I know in my heart; my dad would like for me to move on. However, I miss him and my heart feels sadness.

To the ones who celebrated this holiday, Happy Thanksgiving and cherish every moment.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it. I hope you all have a wonderful day. I’m truly blessed to be able to spend time with the people I love the most. My lovely sons came for dinner with their families and we enjoy the day eating and watching football. I’ve the chance to chat with my girls who are spending their first Thanksgiving in Arizona.

I’m grateful for having so many people who have given me the strength to be in the place I am today and to appreciate what I have. For the past year, I’ve been blessed to meet people who with the smallest gestures they have touched my heart and make me a better person.

I’m grateful for having my kids that I adore, a loving husband, good health, for our two dogs, to be here tonight with my feet up resting and watching a movie.

Tomorrow is time to start decorating for Christmas my favorite holiday. Let’s the countdown begin because on December 23rd my granddaughters would be home for Christmas.

Happy Thanksgiving!

happy4I used to work at the grocery store for twelve years and my thanksgiving was cooking dinners for the customers until 3 pm. I would get home tired with no inspiration to prepare a meal for my own family. My husband then was the cook.

Since I’m been working at the school for the last three years everything has been changed. I get up early on Thanksgiving to preheat the oven and to start to cook for my family also to watch the Macy’s Parade.

My Christmas tree is done and just waiting to be lit up tonight. The rest of the decorations will come soon. Meanwhile, I’m enjoying my coffee and the quiet of my home.

To everyone who celebrated the holidays I want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy the coziness of your home, the food, the parade, the football game, and your family.

  1. I’m truly blessed for getting up early and to cook for my family.
  2. I’m truly blessed for being home and enjoy the day.
  3. I’m truly blessed for having a loving and caring family.
  4. I’m truly blessed for having another wonderful year and for having the opportunity to live another holiday.
  5. I’m truly blessed for having a wonderful job that gives me the opportunity to spend the holidays with my family.

Thank you for all the good things I have and for all the good things I already have. Thank you, God for everything!

Counting our blessings!

gratitude

How many of us love to count their blessings during the holiday season? I do.

All started it a few years ago when  some of my friends from Facebook  will post from the entire month  of November their daily blessings.  I will read them and press the like button. I didn’t write mine, but I will compare with my owns experiences and of course some of them sound better that my owns. So this year I thought  I should  enjoy my friends and started counting my blessings. What a surprise I got. I realized I did have a lot for thanks for and I had been blessed with lots of things of mine owns.

Then I got this book “The Magic” by Rhonda Byrne and that’s where everything starts to make more sense to me.  I started it to learn how to use the word “gratitude” and the word “thank you”.  Writing my daily blessing  from what I have in the past, my present,  and I will have in the future  has been a big change in my life.

The more sincerely and more deeply grateful you feel, the more you received. Yes, this statement  is true.

Counting my blessings will not be just for the month of November it will be for the rest of my life. I do love the changes and the feeling of happiness I’m been having at this moment.

I’m truly blessed for what I have today and I will have tomorrow.

Thank you for my health I feel wonderful.

Thank you for my family, they are my life and they make me very happy.

Thank you for my job because is my dream job and I work with wonderful people.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to take care of my elderly dad. He is a wonderful man.

Thank you for my husband of 30 years of marriage. He is my best friend, he makes me feel like a queen, and thanks to him I’m a better person.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone and enjoy the happier days!
