A great weekend

Yesterday (Saturday) it was my first day by myself. My husband took his parents back home to Puerto Rico. He will be there until Tuesday. The trip went terrific and he’s already enjoying family time at the beach. Meanwhile, my day has been acceptable. I’ve been watching shark-cheesy movies on SyFy channel.

It has been a relaxing Sunday. Took care of some paper works and spending the rest of the day watching my shark movies. I just finished watching the premiere of the last Sharknado #6. It was entertaining and full of fun parts. If this is the last movie like they’re announcing it was a great end to the series. Maybe for next year they’ll decide to create a different another type of cheesy movies. Those movies are great when you feel down.

To the ones who’s still up this late enjoy the rest of the night and for me it’s time to finish a book I already begin reading a few days ago.

Saturday Night

My most excited big nights are during the summer when I go camping every weekend with my family. It’s a fantastic campsite where everyone knows each other. You can hear the laughter, the Jet Skis, and the kids running in the park.

I like to sit around the campfire with my grandkids eating s’mores. We love watching the stars, the kids trying to tell spooky but funny stories. We have so much fun that I can’t wait for the summer to kick in.

On the other hand, when it’s winter I prefer to spend my Saturdays relaxing at home. After a week of work my fun Saturday consists of doing laundry, cleaning, and doing groceries. Then at night I watch a movie with my husband, read a book before going to bed, and sleep until 10am on Sundays.

I know it’s not an exciting Saturday night; however it’s all what I want at this moment.

Tell us about the most exciting big night out you had recently.

Bye January

Today is the last day of January and it went fast.  A few days ago I just put away the outside Christmas decoration that was cover of snow. The past few weeks the weather has been in the 30 and 40 and it felt good, however today has been cold in a single digit and predicting snow. It’s getting colder by the hour. It’s Saturday and I’m bored.

After the laundry and all the cleaning have been done, it will be TV time. Tonight we’re planning to watch “Transcendence” with one of my favorite actors Mr. Johnny Depp and “Non- Stop with Liam Neeson.

In addition, I will be finishing the last two chapters of “The lost Goddess” by Tom Knox. I started this book back in November and I didn’t have the chance to finish it. The holidays kept me busy and now I’m being bored I decide to finish the book. By the way this book it’s very good. Meanwhile, I will be waiting patiently for the month of February to fly away as fast as January went.

Look what I got…

books 1books 3books 4

This weekend I went to Barnes and Noble’s and purchase these books on sale. The holidays are approaching and they’re perfect for the occasion. They already are on my nightstand waiting to be read by me. Now I’m trying to decide which one will be first.

I have already watched the Mrs. Miracle movies and soon the premiere on the Hallmark Channel of Mr. Miracle. It’s time to read books and enjoy reading.

Debbie Macomber is one of my favorite writers and I always try to get one of her books. I love her style and her Christmas stories are the best.

If someone has already read these books I will like to know what you think.  Any other recommendation for a good book for the holidays will be welcome.

Day 23: NaBloPomo

Let it be

A restaurant that removed your favorite item from the menu, a bad cover of a great song… Write a post about something that should’ve been left untouched, but wasn’t. Why was the original better?

(Participating in NaBloPoMo? Head to BlogHer’s NaBloMoPo Central for more!)

No one likes change, especially when they turn a good book into a movie. If they want to make a remarkable movie, keep it as faithful as the book. Why they make all these changes? The movies are totally a disappointed.

I just finished watching the second movie of Percy Jackson.  I’m annoyed and disbelief about the stories. Both movies have changed not only the character looks, but they twist the story. Why Hollywood love to do this? I have been enjoying all the Percy Jackson books and I thought the movie will do them justice. No, it won’t.

I don’t know if I will watch another excellent book turn into a movie. After I give a little thought almost every movie out there is coming from bestseller books.

To Hollywood producer please let it be.

That’s why everyone who loves to read will say, “The books are always better”.

Fourth Wall- Robin Hood the Prince of Thieves

Daily Post: You get to spend a day inside your favorite movie. Tell us which one it is — and what happens to you while you’re there.

It’s hard to pick a favorite movie; it all depends on my mood. One of the many movies I love and I don’t get tired of watching is “Robin Hood Prince of Thieves”. I want to be Marian and be the leading lady with Kevin Costner.

I would like Robin to teach me how to use the bow and arrow. I will like to have the adventure of living up in the trees, singing around the campfire, and in a hot day be in the waterfall with Robin of course.

One of the best moments in the movie is Marian screaming “Robin”. I get emotional every time I watch it also you see the love of those two. Another favorite part is when Robin and his friends are fighting and he gets to rescue Marian from the evil man. Who doesn’t want to be rescued by Robin and live happily ever after?

There’s thousands of others romantic movies, however this movie has it all. The theme song has the most beautiful words, it touches my heart and I always ended with tears in my eyes.

For the past 31 years I’ve my own Robin so I’m living a happily ever after.

Then again, I can dream and I can wish to be Marian… right!

It’s definitely one of my favorite movie, my favorite song, and my favorite actor of all times.
