After a tough month of January, the beginning of this one it’s looking better. Because I’m feeling better, I have the strength to pack all my holiday decorations and put it away. Also, I went yesterday to buy groceries and a few things for Valentine’s day. I’m packing a box for my girls in Arizona with chocolate candies, teddy bears and a few books. It has to be mailed no later than tomorrow so they can get it before Friday.
It’s Valentine’s Day and I’m secluded at home. I went to the Dr. yesterday with both of my arm cover in a red, itchy rash. It’s a virus maybe I catch it at the school or at home. The Dr. says is airborne and the kids carry this virus as a dormant virus. I’m lucky it’s not contagious, however it’s uncomfortable. It hurts and it’s desperately itchy. The Dr. prescribes a steroid and Benadryl to stop the madness. Those are the exact words my Dr. says to me. It was actually pretty funny when she saw my arms and looking at me, she says, “what the heck?” I’ve to be out of school for the next two days in case it gets worse. So here I am at my home bored and thinking another Valentine Day at the house. We were planning to go to Olive Garden. Also, it makes me think it’s over 10 years we don’t have a romantic dinner at a restaurant.
I supposed I’ll prepare dinner and unfortunately, I can’t have any wine. That’s a bummer! My husband will bring flowers and my favorite chocolate candies.
To everyone who celebrate Valentine’s Day, the day of love and friendship, have a marvelous day with lots and lots of love. Remember, Valentine’s Day should be celebrated everyday and recognize the people who we love and care.
I’d make a list of goals I would love to accomplish this year; however been only February and is too soon to tell.
One goal of my list is to keep myself healthy; I still don’t get the flu where some of my coworkers already have it. I’m eating healthy, taking my MEDs for my depression, and my diabetes. As a result, I’m sleeping better and that’s a plus.
Another goal is to travel more often, it will happen soon. I’ve plane tickets to visit my daughter in Arizona during Easter vacation. My next trip is planned for June to visit my family in Puerto Rico.
I’ve challenge myself to read more and I’m excited about being four books ahead.
One of my goals I’m not doing so well is blogging every day like I want to. I work full time, take care of my dad, baby sitting my grandkids after school and by the time I sit down I’m tired and ready to go to bed. I’m glad am still taking my online class. I work on this during the weekends and it gives me the chance to keep writing.
I’m doing well so far with my goals; however to count my goals that I’ve accomplished I’ve to wait until December.
Today here in the USA we are celebrating Valentine’s Day. To everyone who celebrated this day Happy Valentine’s Day. I’m getting dinner ready; the wine is in the fridge at least my Moscatto. My hubby’s wine he likes it at room temperature. Meanwhile, we are resting and watching “The Walking Dead” marathon and counting the hours for tonight’s new episode.
Have a wonderful day!
Daily Post: How is the year shaping up for you so far? Have your predictions come true, or did you have to face a curve ball or two?
This is what I wrote to my husband on his Valentine card.
Today is Valentine’s Day and after been married for 31 years I just want to thank you for being patience, loving, and caring. We have our ups and downs but we still love and care for each other.
I love you very much. You have been there when I need you the most. You have taken care of me over the years from my cancer treatment to the injury I got last week.
You always tell me we don’t need expensive gifts or special days to show that we love and care for each other. We don’t need to show and tell and it’s true. We’re there for each other and that’s what matters.
Thank you for the beautiful flowers and for the chocolates they are my favorites. We will have a cozy night like every night and watch our favorites TV shows.
I just want to say, “I love you very much”.
Daily Prompt: Write an ode to someone or something you love. Bonus points for poetry!
In a few days will be Valentine’s Day. I’m getting ready valentines cards for my granddaughters to take to school. Between the valentine’s cards and decorating the boxes to carry the cards we ate half of bag of chocolate.
I will have a lovely day, I always do. My husband will bring flowers for me and our two granddaughters (9 and 6). I love daisies and pink roses and I will get my traditional box of chocolate that I will share with the grandkids.
After 30 years of marriage, I don’t need any expensive gifts. I love my husband and we care for each other. After dinner we will watch a good movie, have some wine, and popcorn.
I’m grateful and blessed for having a wonderful husband and for giving me all the love and care.
The most important thing is the love that we have for each other.
