SOC- Unlock the Mind

To get started, let’s loosen up. Let’s unlock the mind. Today, take twenty minutes to free write. And don’t think about what you’ll write. Just write. And for your first twist? Publish this stream-of-consciousness post on your blog.

Stream of consciousness- 20 minutes of free writing (writing 101- day 1)

I ‘m excited to take this class for the second time. Last year I didn’t have a chance to finish I was sick and I fell behind on my assignments.

So here I go again trying to write for 20 minutes anything that comes to my mind with no worries on my grammar. One thing I want everyone to know is when I write under pressure my ideas are all over the place. Yes, that’s me.

Yesterday it was Easter and it was a wonderful day.  My kids came for dinner. The weather here in North Dakota went from being last week a warm week to a cold, snowy, icy roads, and chilly. The egg hunt we made it inside the house and the kids have fun. My plan to start my garden has to wait for a few weeks until the snow is completely gone.

Lucky me, I still have two more days off of Easter vacation. I work in the school cafeteria and there’s no school until Wednesday. I don’t need to drive on those icy roads just stay at home, being lazy, and for supper tonight will be soup or chili.

For the last four days I’ve been reading “Killing Lincoln” so far is good, watching a few movies, and organizing my blog. I made a few changes add new widgets, organizing my post by categories, organizing the tags, and getting to know new bloggers.

Funny thing will happen this morning my husband will ask when I’m planning to do my annual spring cleaning usually I start before Easter and I give him my dirty look. He doesn’t realize I’m tired of spending my days off cleaning to only last for a day.

To my honey, I want to say; “No, I’m not wasting my precious days off on cleaning”.

This time my decision on my days off has been “me time”. The spring cleaning can wait, maybe on a Saturday when both of us are off. Yes, honey when both of us are off not just me. Ha, ha, ha!

Meanwhile, today I’ll be lazy, finish reading my book and doing some writing. Nothing is wrong with that.

  1. I live in Southern Manitoba so not far away. Friday was a nasty day here but since then it has been sunny and warming up again. Hopefully it stays this time. I agree with you days off more to do stuff that is fun or just for you. Cleaning will always be there. Enjoyed your post neighbor
